3rd photo above is the Griffith Park Observatory Tesla Coil - early July, 2001.  The topload and primary are covered with verdigris, appear to be in poor shape and in need of restoration.  Update:  Coil is in storage and will be rebuilt by Bill Wysock in time for the re-opening of the Observatory in 2005 or 2006.  The observatory is currently closed for renovation (July 12, 2004).  @ 2007, the Coil is now rebuilt and back in the newly re-opened observatory.
